Details:
10/1 – I had no intention of doing this MKAL, then I saw Maria’s clue 1 and I suddenly needed to do it. LOL I scrounged stash for minis and leftovers for the colors. I’ve managed the first two days…we’ll see if I am able to keep up with all 13!
10/15 – I finished! On the 13th! Right before I had to leave on a weekend trip, so I’m only catching up on notes now.
I kept up with all 13 clues, which is a miracle. I made no mods to the pattern. The only thing I’d do differently if I made it again would be to go down to US3s, as colorwork with superwash is always so loosey goosey. But I haven’t soaked/blocked it yet, and I figure I can always toss it in the dryer when it’s still damp if I really need to snug it up.
The finished cowl, after trimming ends, weighs 150 grams. I had to estimate yardage for some of the minis based on what was left and knowing that most minis are a couple of grams over their stated grams. But my estimates still total 150 grams, so it’s pretty spot on, IMO.
I’ll add a finished-finished “pretty picture” once it’s blocked.
