This will be my January Stash Challenge yarn. I’m thinking a hat and/or mitts? I’m going to challenge myself to use patterns I already own for my stash challenge yarn. Lots of challenges happening. LOL
1/3 – I’m going to start using this yarn making the Loden Slouchy hat. I’ve made this once before, for Emma, and I really liked how it turned out. The cables and lace will be interesting too.
Depending on how much I have left over, I will try to also make the Porteau mitts by Megan Nodecker. I had those on a list of patterns I was going to try and knit several years ago and never got to them. I probably have the pattern printed out in a folder somewhere. LOL
1/17 – About halfway through. I love this pattern. It’s a perfect balance of fun and having to pay attention.
My needle size choice seems to be a good one for this yarn. I think it’ll open up nicely without being too large.
1/18 – Finished the hat. Used far less yarn than expected, but it fits and it’ll probably fit a little better once blocked. I’ll make the Porteau mitts with the rest of the yarn.
