You know those moments when you feel overwhelmed by all you have (or want) to do that you find it hard to start anything?
Doing something is almost always better than doing nothing.
Had plans to do a 40 minute yoga workout but you don’t have 40 minutes? Take 5 minutes to center yourself with some gentle stretches and deep breaths.
Need to deal with a full inbox on Monday morning? Break it down to five messages at a time. Or three. Or one. Then move on.
Don’t have the brain space to work the next complicated colorwork or lace chart on your project? Pick up (or cast on) a simple stockinette sock or hat and knit on it for a few minutes to calm your brain.
There are no rules saying that everything has to be done in one fell swoop. Set a timer. Take small bites out of larger projects. Step back and clear your mind.
Doing something small is better than doing nothing at all. You’ll get there. 🙂
